Thank you for sponsoring the Bowling Green Amateur Championship! I look forward to throwing the first flight Undertow.
H.B. Clark held a putting contest through out the week using a portable Mach Lite basket and the First Flight Breaker as the putter from eight different lengths.
I made 6 of 8 to get into the final competition. It came down to me and one other participant in the sudden death play off. We went throw for throw and on the third putt from 25 feet my opponent missed his putt after I made mine. I will never forget hitting the winning putt while the crowd was watching us compete and rooting us on. Thank you for sponsoring this event and creating such a wonderful experience for me and the other competitors. I will put the basket to good use and look forward to seeing the results of all the putting practice.
DGA continues to elevate the game of disc golf on and off the course. Thanks again for your generous contribution to the Bowling Green Amateur Championship!
I just wanted to let you know, that after 11 years of playing disc golf and using a classic roc that has 11 aces on it. That I have retired it thanks to your company, I LOVE THE BREAKER!!! I have been looking for a replacement for this disc forever, so now my C.E. Classic Roc is on the wall. Thanks again for making this disc, and don’t please ever get rid of it!!!
The Harvey County (Kansas) Health Department received a grant in 2011 for the installation of a 9 hole disc golf course in a city park. All of the representatives at Disc Golf Association were very helpful and responsive with our questions and requests. In addition to the Mach II baskets and number plates, we also ordered custom discs and love how they turned out. Our sales coordinator made the process very easy. If we receive more money to add 9 more holes, we will definitely be calling Disc Golf Association.
Thank you DGA for all your support in helping promote the sport of disc golf. Your game is just simply better when you throw DGA discs. Thanks again for making the game a better place to play!
“I have worked with DGA twice now on two separate courses and both time were extremely wonderful experiences. DGA has been most professional in working to suit our needs and very quick with email responses and communication.”
“Thanks DGA for making my event amazing. The discs were great, the test drive was fun, and the basket was awesome!”
“I appreciate your cheerful helpfulness… All of you at DGA are always so nice and helpful and friendly!”
“Disc golf has taken over my life and is definitely my main point of interest… The DGA team definitely put out amazing products that help all player levels.”
“Disc golf has been very beneficial for the Kalamazoo Parks system”
“We’ve received a lot of extra visitors and attention because of the game. Disc golfers are in the park 365 days a year. Whatever the season, whatever the weather, I see players on the course. That’s what is exciting to me. We have something that attracts people all year round.”
“We’ve had ice fishing and cross country skiing for years, but disc golf is now our biggest winter activity. If you build it they will come.”
“We had a problem with vandalism in certain areas of the park, but after the Disc Golf course was built, the increased activity in the park really decreased vandalism”
“It only takes a piece of park space that wasn’t being used and makes it an important part of the park system.”
“The positive change in the park brought about by Disc Golf has made a lot of people happy – neighbors, police, golfers, local businessmen, and parks workers. The old adage that positive use will displace a negative use seems to be much in evidence at Pier Park.”
“As Mayor of Portland, I welcome any opportunity to support events that bring together members of our community in a positive and sustainable way. The NW Amateur Disc Golf Series is just such an opportunity… On behalf of the citizens of Portland, I welcome you! We are proud to be the host for the 2004 Progress Disc Golf tournament. I think you’ll find Pier Park to be one of the jewels of our Portland parks.”
“Disc Golf is my life. Seldom is there a life that is so gratifying. Please share it with me. In 25 years of working with young people, my sport Disc Golf has changed many lives. Wandering people who have graduated from High School with no purpose in life have faced up to realities, given up drugs and other escapes from reality and found a new way. In short, they have learned to deal with themselves while surrounded by people who share their needs and desires. They have found an amazingly simple game that makes no demands, has no limitations, and provides a mechanism with which they learn to deal with themselves on a very personal basis through Disc Golf. Thus we have a new generation of young and old whom we can welcome into our home, our parks, and yes our lives, with confidence and open arms.
The vast majority set examples for others on a daily basis. They share their lives, teach others and most of all, they clean up other peoples trash! These are the people that are of an age that many park directors fear, people who would otherwise present the biggest, most serious problems are enjoying a form of recreation unheard of 25 years ago. They gather in large numbers to participate in their sport, unsupervised on facilities that cost less than a tennis court and little to maintain.
Newcomers are soon converted to regular players by the example of others. The unwanted soon leave to live out their problems and fantasies someplace else.
You will never be sorry if you install a Disc Golf course in your facility. You will be honored by the players and take great comfort in the fact that Disc Golf will change your park and perhaps you will be as fortunate as I am and Disc Golf will change your life as it has mine.”
