Favorite DGA Disc:
- Proline Aftershock, D-Line Breaker:
The proline aftershock is a nice straight-stable mid with a ton of glide. I love to flip them up and watch them fly. The D-line Breaker is a great approach disc. Once beaten in, they are great for low glide turnover shots.
Most memorable tournament win or moment in DG?:
- My first under par round at Dela in the long. Winning a monthly at Black Mouse on the last shot with an ace.
Top 5 Courses:
- Skyline Wilderness
- Pinto Lake
- Redwood Curtain
- Condon Park
- Masters Cup
- Vintage Cup
- Good Neighbor Open
- Boulder Creek Blizzard
What about being a part of Team DGA excites you the most?
The chance to represent my hometown company.
What is the strongest part of your Disc Golf game?
Gotta say, I absolutely hate bogies. So I’m going to say scratching out a par.
What is your best tip for a disc golfer that has just started playing?
Obviously, have fun 🙂
Don’t reach for the biggest fastest driver, grab yourself a mid or a fairway and learn how to work it on every angle.
What is your best mental tip for a disc golfer that has just started playing?
Stay positive and have fun!
How do you prepare for a big event both mentally and physically?
Big tournaments usually bring stamina and endurance into play. I always make sure I’m not overworking my body a couple days leading up to a big tournament. Mentally, I try and not go through worst case scenarios. The less I think about my round the day before the better. I like a clean mental slate when I step up to the first tee of any tournament.
