WHAT IS A MIDRANGE DISC AND WHY ARE MIDRANGES SO IMPORTANT?
Midrange discs are as their name implies the middle ground between putt and approach discs used for short shots and drivers used for distance and long fairway shots. Midrange discs are faster, more stable, and have a longer range than a putter. Midranges are great all-around utility discs that players will use for the majority of their shots. Extra grip compared to the PL.
I absolutely love the Squall already! It fits in a unique slot with the control of a midrange and fairway driver-like impressive distance. The stability is perfect for straight lazer beams with minimal fade when thrown hard. This might finally kick the Leopard3 out of my bag, which has been a disc I constantly lean on. I like that the Squall has enough stability to stay straight when thrown hard, but can be powered down on to create lots of shot shapes.
