The first Disc Golf Pro Tour stop of the year took place this past weekend down in sunny Scottsdale, AZ. Matt Bell was in attendance, competing in the MPO division, and played well enough to make the cut and play in the final round on Sunday afternoon where he finished in 73rd place and snagged last cash. Over on the MP40 side of the event, Shasta Criss continued his steady play and ended up in a 7th place finish.
Our local boy Trevor Parker and the UCSC Team took a road trip to Oregon to compete in the Northwestern Collegiate Invitational. This event was a Collegiate Nationals qualifier and was held at the beautiful Milo McIver Disc Golf Course. Trevor was able to finish the singles portion of the event in a tie for 1st Place and ended up winning the playoff! The UCSC Team finished in 2nd Place of the team portion of the event.
DGA also had two up and coming students competing right here at the famous DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course for the third week of the Santa Cruz Interscholastic Disc Golf League. Ezra Hapner finished the day in 1st Place, while Emmanuel Torres was right on his heels finishing in 2nd Place!
