Congratulations to DGA team members Peter McBride and Chris Eads as they battled their way to victory this last weekend. Both Peter and Chris led wire to wire at their respective tournaments. For Arm Farm Team Captain Peter McBride this victory at the Battle of Bijou marks back to back first place finishes in the advanced division. While, ProLine Team Member Chris Eads pulled off one of the harder feats in all of disc golf when he TD’ed the 17th Annual Hell on the Border and also won the open division by 3 throws. He shot a 1040 rated final round to seal the deal and get the win. Great work guys. Way to win one for “Steady” Ed.
Other hot finishes over the weekend were ProLine Team Member Shasta Criss as he beat some of the biggest names in disc golf including current World Champion Paul McBeth on his way to a 5th place finish at the Rochester Flying Disc Open in Rochester, New York. Shasta shot three rounds of 1020 rated golf as well as a 1060 rated round to keep him up on the leader board with the best in the world. Shasta is playing some hot golf as he heads towards the Vibram Open and the last National Tour stop on this year’s PDGA schedule.
Up north Team DGA members Kyle Pinkman and Tom Brenton finished 5th and 6th respectively at the Cedar Creek Open in Fairmont, Minnesota. This A-tier event is getting great reviews and brought in some of the top disc golfers throughout the upper Midwest. Look for Kyle and Tom to be near the top of the leader board again, along with fellow DGA Team Member and St. Cloud local Mike “G Unit” Gerads in two weeks as they are all competing in the Northstar Throwdown sponsored by DGA.
