2013 Steady Ed Tour

2013 Steady Ed Tour

This years “Steady” Ed Tour once again used a point based rating system for all the events involved with the series. The point structure was based on the PDGA point system. Since all the tournaments were PDGA sanctioned, players playing in these events already accumulate points from the PDGA. The PDGA determined these points partly based on what tier the tournament was. Like the PDGA system “Stead” Ed Tournament Series players are eligible to earn more points at those higher tiered events.

In an effort to level the playing field and give the people who compete in more tour events a better chance to win the overall point’s race awarded bonuses for people who played in three events or more. The bonus structure is as follows: a 100 point bonus if you played in three events, 200 point bonus if you played in four events, 300 point bonus if you played in five events, and a 400 point bonus if you played in all eight Steady Ed Tour events.

DGA has crowned series winners for each division who were able to accumulate the most points by playing in Steady Ed Tour Events. Only points from the official 2013 “Steady Ed” tour events counted for the final point standings. Points came directly from the PDGA results and the winners will be publicized not only here on our website but also congratulated in Discgolfer Magazine.

Thank you to all who participated this year and thank you to all the Tournament Directors and Volunteers for your hard work, long hours and love of the sport. You all would make “Steady” Ed Proud!
