PITTSBURG, KAN. - Project Warmth and Disc Golf Monkeys gathered at Wesley House in Pittsburg, Kansas for a check presentation Wednesday afternoon.
The Disc Golf Monkeys donated $536 to Project Warmth. They raised the money through the Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament a few weeks ago.
The money will be used to help less fortunate families pay their utilities during the winter months and Kevin Arensman said it was a success and thanked everyone for their help.
"We appreciate these guys playing disc golf and doing it for a good purpose," says Arensman, the President of the Pittsburg Ministerial Association. "It's not just for fun, it's reaching out and helping the community. So appreciate Kevin and the Disc Golf Monkeys."
Pittsburg disc golf officer Kevin Elrod says that this year was great but hopes next year will bring an even bigger donation
