SITE NAVIGATION
Disc Golf - Prescott, AZ

Welcome to the Prescott Area Disc Golf Association, (PADGA) website. This site is provided as an informational outlet for local players, in addition to providing some interesting articles and events.

Our player base is growing, and we are in contact with local agencies on securing a site for an "official" course. To date, the course at the Schoolhouse Gulch location has had many problems. From vandalism to destruction by the "Bark Beetle" which has infested much of the Prescott National Forest, to the shutting down by athorities of local disc golf events. There is a small group of players still playing the course, but it is in need of maintenance.

Until such a time that we do secure a site for an official site, the School House course will remain in an "as is" condition. With this, the course is even harder to locate than in the past, with only locals knowing the course. We at the PADGA appologize for any effects this may have on any individual. Sadly, we must also state here that  the PADGA has "washed our hands" of the School House Gulch location, and any damage or other potential situations at the site are not the responsibility of the PADGA. or it's members or staff.

We hope that in the near future some good news about disc golf in the greater Prescott area will be featured here.

Do you want your company, club or organization to appear here? How about an advertisment or link to your site? How about photos of your group or club? How about writing a disc golf article for Disc Driver Magazine? Have you visited any other courses and want to write a review to appear here?  How about just something interesting to share about our sport to other players?

Contact us at
Disc Driver Magazine. Your submissions will be reviewed by PADGA staff and included upon selection.

Food, Water, Sleep, Disc Golf... What Else Is There?
Most important rule: Go out and have fun. Don't let more experienced players intimidate you with their distance and accuracy.
Throw an easy to control disc and focus on accuracy. Distance will come with time and experience so focus on throwing your disc down in the middle of the fairway.
When putting, remember to play conservitve. Don't try to attempt a putt you have no busines making. It easier to lay up your upshot close to the hole ant then make a easy put.    Keep it simple and don't try advanced techniques until you have some basic form and control down. Throw with 1 step rather than trying to attempt a run up. Try to keep the disc close to your chest and keep it as flat as possible. Wait until you feel you are consistent and accurate before trying to add to your throw.
Remember to have fun.
