 In the Thursday September 28th, 2006 edition of the Jersey Journal, there is an article regarding a 87 acre redevelopment plan for a warehouse and the rezoning of about 67 acres for open space (green space) in Jersey City, NJ off route 1/9 to the Hacensack River, between Broadway and Duncan Ave. There's talk of building a golf course. We have plenty of golf course's in NJ, but we do not have a quality disc golf course in the Hudson County Region of NJ! Seeing that this space is availble, please petition the elected officials ( Gov. Jon Corzine, Hudson County Executive Thomas A. DeGise, Mayor Jerramiah Healy of Jersey City, NJ, Bayonne Mayor and NJ State Assemblyman Joseph Doria, Director, Division of parks, Thomas McCann, and any or all the local elected district leaders and please contact your local community activists wanting to keep not just an open space but a forest! Disc Golf offers a wonderful way to build cardiovascular function! THe more people who petition the better chance we have to bring a quality course to Hudson County, NJ!
