Not only 1, but 2 full 18-hole courses line this pleasant park. Good friendly locals, very long drives, and tricky approaches are keynotes of Indian Hammocks Pk. It is a 15-20 minute drive SW from downtown Miami (toll free expressways except a $1.25 toll if you return by the airport). The park itself is mutlifunctional, but the courses are almost totally clear of other outdoor enthusiasts, making an errant slice no real danger.
The courses are well mowed. The drives are very long (all par 3), averaging 400'. The baskets are tucked away around sharp corners, making initial spotting difficult if it were not for the well posted tee off signs (3 possible basket locations, rotated monthly). There are a couple approaches with thick underbrush, so watch your Tomahawks. The entrance road bisects a couple runs, so beware of cars entering/leaving the park. No water traps.
