Re: What discs do u have in your ba - 2004/12/10 03:14OK Guys, I have been playing nearly 4 months now. And like many of you I am really stoked with this game. I play everyday and have missed a total of 11 days in those months of playing !
I have been experimenting a lot with different discs. And I have narrowed it down to about 4 or 5 discs. And I DO NOT use a bag. I refuse to because I think it looks Gay...No offense guys just my opinion !! :0)
1. 170 CE Valkrie.....to me the best of the best in Driving predictability with maximum distance. CE Teebird was just too overstable for me.
2. 172 LS Polaris......a great short range long distance driver that is so easy to thro straight.
3.177 KC Roc........Beat up for mid range shots that can really turn right hard or thrown straight with hyzer release..
4. 180 Dx Roc...This is crazy but this thing is my Putter. Tried Aviars but this thing works perfect for me. I say why change when it works. The heaviness can't be found in standard Putters.
I ave come to the conclusion tat really knowing about 4 or 5 Discs really really really good is better than trying to learn 20. You become a better shotmaker by learning with just a few!!

3 magnet, 2 soft ones, 1 Photon. 4 Z-Hawk, maybe I need to start throw somethingelse 4 Z-Cyclone 1 Z-xtreme soon.

Re: What discs do u have in your ba - 2005/02/13 15:30I have only been playing for about a year and haven't yet figured out what discs I want to stick with. Many of the DX type plastic discs were sold to me by a friend of mine and I am slowly replacing the ones I like with their candy plastic equivalents - for the most part. The newer ones have a "*" next to them.
I drive forehand and everything else I throw backhand. Any suggestions for what would be good placements are appreciated - especially a good "candy" plastic replacement for the Lightning Hyzer. I love that disc but I shred it pretty hard because I use it for rollers and getting me out of trouble and I don't believe lightning has a champ plastic equivalent.
