2008 Pro-Am World Rogues-Win a 18 hole course - 2008/03/07 11:16DGA is excited to announce the return of our highly successful fundraiser disc and 18 Mach III Pole Hole giveaway program that has been offered to the 2008 Pro/Am World Championships being held in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This program was unveiled last year for the Am Worlds in Milwaukee and proved to be a hit. One thousand discs were sold and thousands of dollars were raised for the event.
This year’s fundraising disc will be our best selling driver to date, the Rogue. People all over the county have made the Proline Rogue their go-to disc for distance drives. Players that have thrown the Sparkle Rogues say they’re the farthest flying Rogue to date. Like last year, we are creating a very unique and stylish piece of color artwork for this disc that will surely increase the collector value.
A total of 1500 of these special run discs will be produced which is an increase of 500 discs over last years program. Like last year, each disc purchased will come with one raffle ticket. Each raffle ticket from discs purchased will be added to a drawing that will take place during the week of the Pro/Am Worlds in Kalamazoo (August 8th-16th, 2008). There will be only one winner of this drawing and that winner will receive an 18 hole custom Mach III course.
The winner will have their very own one-of-a-kind course to do with as they wish. This is a great opportunity for individuals as well as clubs across the country to get a chance at winning the course you’ve always wanted without having to come up with the funds to purchase a whole course. You can install your own private course and keep it to yourself or you can donate the full course to a park department and be a hero in your local disc golf community.
This years prized Mach III Deluxe Disc Pole Holes will be powder coated in a limited edition Sunburst Orange. DGA rarely powder coats the Mach III Pole Holes and has never in this color, making the course truly one-of-a-kind. We feel that because of this fact, the limited fundraiser discs will be sold very quickly. We expect disc golf clubs will pool their resources to purchase as many of these discs as possible in order to up their chances of winning.
The discs will be sold online exclusively through www.gottagogottathrow.com . We will begin selling in early March and continue up until the week of Worlds or until all have been sold. We will also make a limited number of these discs available to authorized tournaments that work closely with DGA.
