There was one time when i had to keep the beer in the cooler to keep it from freezing, that shouldv'e tipped me off, it was -18 that day. Think of the advantages: there isn't anyone else on the course, no lines , no interferring play, no leaves on the trees. Up here in maine trees have been known to crack and explode because it gets downright cold. Intrigued? got an ice bowl all set for 2-26-06 in fairfield maine. come play.

I played a round the other morning and it was 31*. There was frost on all the tables, ice on the puddles, and the chains were frozen stiff. I thought i was hardcore for being out there....hahaha. No exploding trees in NorCal. That would be sweet! I should start a "how hot is too hot" thread. I played when it was 112* last summer. Almost passed out. Now that is F*cking hot!!

Re:How cold is too cold? - 2006/02/21 11:30I have played with the temps in the teens and snow on the ground and yours hands are numb. I have also played with it pouring down rain. But what I disliked much more than either of those is heavy winds. I hate playing in heavy wind.

Re:How cold is too cold? - 2006/03/01 15:31Our foursome plays every sunday morning, rain, shine, or 12 below air temp. That's too cold. We only played once that could , now we wait till it's above zero. On the plus side is never having to worry about water.

I dont care what you northerners say...105 degrees with 90% humidity is not good disc golf weather! Its pretty intolerable. Fall and winter are our disc golf season down here. The early mornings can be somewhat tolerable in the summers...just make sure you finish up before noon!
