I dont know about the quarter k though, ive been throwing one a couple weeks and it just needs too much space to fly. If i have the room i like to throw it (RHBH), whenever i do it travels about 50-60 feet left to right and then (if high enough) gets about 40' of fade. Its nice because it never fails to come back (other than strong head winds). It does go a long way though, I get a 400' minimum with it, my starfire is the only disc that compares to that distance.

1 170g E Spirit - hedwinds, long hyzers, forearm 1 174g Glow E Spirit - backup for above 1 173g S Spirit - low, fairway driver length strong hyzers. It's beat in but super overstable 1 170g Z Avenger - just got it. Long, more subtle hyzers, moderate headwind 1 172g Champ. Viking - long straight shots 1 172g DX Viking - beat for long anhyzers 1 176g E Sabre - low midrange/high fairway driver arcing hyzers with not much fade. 1 170g S Sabre - low midrange/high fairway driver for straight shots with not much fade. 2 172g S Blazes - 1 new for strong hyzers or midrange headwind, 1 beat for straight shots with fade or more suble hyzers. 1 175g S Demon - forehand approach for strong winds or very strong right turns. 3 S Element X - 178. 176 and 173g for midrange with a fade 2 E Elements - 181 and 182g for straight to anhyzer midrange (one backup) 1 175g E Wizard - short hyzers 1 175g Medium S Wizard - short drives 1 175g Soft S Wizard - backup for Medium and SS 1 175g SS S Wizard - putts
Yes, it's a lot of discs and yes I could probably carry fewer discs and be better but I have fun with the variety. I seem to stick to 5 to 10 discs for any given course and/or wind conditions. It's only 9 different molds and I find that it can come in handy to have plenty of backups.
If I could only use 3 discs I'd pick a Medium Wizard, E Element and Champion Viking.

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/26 05:27you must be pretty strong to get anything out of a spirit, ive only thrown one a couple times, and couldnt get it to go over 225' (it was a 174) even though i tend to throw fairly overstable plastic orcs, firebirds crushes and such, but that was one disc i never found a use for

What type of plastic was the Spirit you were throwing? My S Spirit is pretty beat up and I can only get about 300' out of it if you include the skip (which is probably 30' forward). It's pretty much the same as my new, 176g E Speed Demon. When I first threw it I would get the same distances you describe.
My brand new E Spirits are much less overstable than my beat up S. Even then, I use a sort of beat E Spirit when I need something that has to go straght for a little bit. Also, you have to throw them very nose down and much lower than most other discs. If you get too much height or not enough nose down they'll stall out really early and fade super hard. Lately I've been getting my sort of beat 170g E Spirit out as far as my other long range drivers (350'-380' maybe), but that's thrown low, very nose down, very hard and anhyzer. It ends up about 30 degrees to the left of the line I threw on, too. Into the wind I sometimes even throw with a little hyzer and get the same distances as I do in no wind or a tailwind.
It's a difficult disc to learn, but I think it's worth it.

(I am new 2 months so I suck at putts still.) XD putter (does not see the light of day much now that I have the Stringray)
I am a right handed sidearm thrower so for me the C Sidewinder was a Great add I finally got something that will go left wth out much of a fight. The C Orc was my first disc and it is Great for a crush drive with a ton of room starting left going and right as it is going that way with the fade at the end . If anyone has any ideas on how I can try to keep the Orc straight I would like to hear them or tips on how to make it fade left even a bit at the end.
