Re:Aerobie - 2005/07/28 22:41i wouldnt say the epic sucks. ive had some success with it. now i wouldnt recomend going out and buying one, but if ya find one like i did, its worth a few throws. when i get a good rip with it i average 400+ and its aslo a good roller, but is a very hard disc to get used to.

Re:Aerobie - 2005/07/30 06:43the epic dosnt suck, it has uses, but consistancy is way to important than all out distance which is this discs main use, with orcs, crushes, flashes and other wide rimmed high speed drivers i max out at 450' with decent accuracy up to 425' the epic i have thrown well over 500' when i can get the right rip while the disc is tuned right (tuning is very important with the epic, far more so than the arrow) but my accuracy on this disc even in shorter range is poor, and consistancy is even worse, if you find a way to consistantly throw this disc it could be worth it on long courses. The one use that i will occasionally throw an epic for (if i have one) is for hammer or tomohawk shots, they will fly a good 400' for me this way and even glide out of the barrel roll you will throw it into, this is also eaiser to control, but takes some practice to learn.
either way the epic needs room to fly, and elevation. the tomohawk is great for getting over trees.
