I´m as much newbie you can be at disc golf. I olnly played it for three times but i really love it! It is a great! The three times I've played I've used a disc that i borrowed from my dirend, but now I want to get my own(s). What shpuld I get as my first discs? I managed to do some par and even one below par(birdie) while playing( home in sweden). So I know how to play, but I've only done it three times.
So what do you think I should get as my first disc/discs?

Re:What should I get? - 2005/04/23 21:29I think everyone's first disc should be a Shark... Just for the fact that it is super easy to controll you can Drive far with it. Aproach or even putt well with it... Its an all around good disc I play all the time and I still reach for the shark when I'm stuck. If you get a heavy one 170+ then its even a Great wind driver.

Re:What should I get? - 2005/04/25 20:46I agree with N. Sanders, my first disc was a Shark and it got me hooked on the game, My first putter was a Rhyno. But mostly I recomend throwing what ever mold feels good in your hand. for example I really like the Element-X but not the Element. Now that I have an Element-X, my Shark is no longer in the bag. All and All I say get a midrange that feels comfortable and use it and maybe a putter for the early stages of your development.

Re:What should I get? - 2005/04/26 16:05It all depends on how good of an athlete you are. I could throw over 300' right from the start. I could handle overstable discs then.
If you have a weak arm,
~Go with a Sidewinder or Valkyrie for a driver.
~Go with a D Buzzz for a Midrange (less stable than the Z or X)
~And get a putter...Soft Wizards are the best IMO. I only like Aviars for driving.
