Discs? In the snow? - 2005/02/11 11:00Okay, in the "course talk" there are some folks who are talking about playing in the winter and snow. My question is, how do you keep from loosing discs in the snow? I would play through the winter here in Michigan but knowing my luck I'd loose half of my collection to the white stuff.
Any thoughts?

Re:Discs? In the snow? - 2005/04/15 05:09I glue a 2.5 ft. piece of red ribbon or yarn to the bottom of my discs when the snow gets deep. Goop works best for the glue. I holds pretty well and then peels off when you remove the ribbon. This may not be a good idea if you play a wooded course. The ribbon can get tangled in tree branches leaving your disc dangling in the wind.

Re:Discs? In the snow? - 2005/04/16 03:37I played disc golf all winter, and didn't lose any discs. Just watch where the disc goes into the snow, and you should be able to find it every time. If you don't see it go into the snow, sometimes you have to look for marks that look like a disc may have entered into the snow.
