100% Acetone (nail polish remover) is what I use to remove the stamps off of my discs. Removing sharpie off discs is a bit different as it depends on the plastic, Gateway E, Champion and Z plastic you can remove some of it but there will still be some visable, DX and S plastic Sharpie comes off pretty easily unless it has soaked in over time. One of the reasons I don't put my phone # a discs, my number may change well before the disc is gone. Hope this helps.
