Re: sidearm - 2004/11/16 08:22I'm in the same boat, I can throw decent sidearm but my backhand sucks. This web site has helped me out with my sidearm throws, you should check it out.

Re:sidearm - 2004/12/10 05:43use way overstable disks prject a spot out in front of you about 50ft out about 15 feet up pass through that spot at 45 degrees and yuo shuold be producing s shape shot try to take the c shape out of the shot throwing hight looses power you want to project it so the s shape optimizes its power

Re:sidearm - 2005/08/24 01:21You didn't say what disc(s) you are using for drivers. I don't think it really matters. I forehand and use Eagles, Teebirds and Valkyries most of the time. If it is windy I throw Banshees and Firebirds into the wind. Don't try to over power your forehand. Too much arm is not good. It's all in the snap. Try to keep the disc flat and put more snap/spin on it without using too much more arm. For distance you are going to have to get some more height too. I can throw an Eagle 300 - 325 with the disc never going over 10 feet off the ground. I have gotten an Valkyrie to about 375 but I have to get it 20 feet up to give the Valkyrie room to work. Not too bad for a old geezer forehander. Also remember accuracy before distance. Make sure you can throw the disc where you want it to go. A long drive off the fairway deep in the rough is not as good as a shorter drive on the fairway with a look at laying up near the basket for par.
