what's your most insane shot - 2004/04/27 09:07I've only had one ace in my time, and that was about 4 years ago. Don't even remember how far it was, but it was at Evergreen park in Goleta, CA. I've definitely had a lot more interesting shots that make you do a double take than aces.
First one was at Oakdale Park in Coralvile, IA over lunch one day, they have shitty baskets with rope instead of chains (yeah, I said rope). Was stuck behind some trees about 150ft out, couldn't even throw a tomahawk. Had to do a high arc to the right, came down and the KC Pro Gazelle bent and got taco'd in the side of the basket. It was pretty f'd up.
Also skipped into the holes a few times. Most interesting was at Turkey Creek in Coralville, IA, after a tree knocked down my drive about 100ft into it. Had about 250ft left, through many trees. Tossed the same Gazelle, it skipped through a large batch of small trees (don't know how the hell it made it through there!) and slammed right into the chains for a score saving birdie. If I woulda missed that, it woulda skipped DEEP into a ravine, and I prolly woulda double boged.

Re: what's your most insane shot - 2004/05/04 10:56Got my first ace about a month ago. Probably around 350 ft and blind. Threw it real low and thought it would hit this foot bridge that hides the basket. It skipped off the walking surface and went right in.
Last fall I sunk a 100 ft hammer throw from behind a big pine tree. Both of these in Greeley, CO

The hole is 500ft. and you tee from atop a hill. for whatever reason i had a horrible drive that hit the tree just down the hill and off to the right, then fell to the bottom of the hill. i was lookin at about a 300 ft. shot with some hanging tree branches sort of in the way. I took my tee bird and flexed it over, it flew and flew and came back hyser hit off the tree branch from the tree that hangs over the basket and went in.

Re: what's your most insane shot - 2004/06/11 15:25at crystal mountain in washington we had a tournament with a hole that went downhill about 700 feet long it was the length of three of the chairlift poles i dueced this hole with drive to within twenty feet my friend craig g almost duced it at the same time.crystal mountain was the craziest course ive ever seen take the chairlift to the top and play back down to the bottom

Re: what's your most insane shot - 2004/07/02 11:23I would guess that my craziest shot ever would have to be at Cedar Hill Park in Nashville, TN. It was only the second time I played the course and it was going bad for me. I had lost 2 discs in 4 holes. So on hole 6 I took out a driver and closed up my bag and used that one disc the rest of the round. We get to hole 18 which was at about the 450-460 pin position. I tee off and hit a tree 10 feet of the pad, the disc skipped into the ruff. I finally find it in the ruff and make a second shot flat footed that puts it about 100 from the basket but in the ruff to the left. I was so mad that I walked down to the disc and just grabbed it and through it and turned around....seems like forever and I here "ching". I ended up parring it with a 100 ft shot with a driver.
