Re: wheres the girls? - 2004/03/22 13:14I do think disc golf is a hard sport to learn. specially when you go with mostly males and they all kick ass. But I think that is why I got so good. They took the time to play one on one with me and teach me alot of new things. I give them alot of credit.

Re: wheres the girls? - 2004/04/06 09:57Chic here(but I prefer to be considered a female) who does play disc golf and loves it! I noticed a lot more women playing last summer here in Madison, Wi. Honestly, not that I'm looking to get hooked up with a guy who plays(I play with my hubby) but I can understand why some females would be turned off by some of the guys at the courses who do play. I don't prefer listening to the constant cursing everytime a disc is thrown into the woods,(not that I haven't ever slipped myself) I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke or weed, or slobs who don't pick up after themselves, or listening to guys who seem to be just as much into drinking the beer they brought as they are of playing. Then of course there's dealing with guys who aren't happy throwing just one drive, approach shot, while someone (me) is waiting at the pad to drive. Ok, maybe I'm not one of the "young" chicks you guys would be interested in anyway, but would your mother be proud of you if she were watching what you were doing while you were playing? Wouldn't you want her to be?
