East Tennessee - Morristown - New Course - 2007/05/23 09:42
The Morristown Kiwanis disc golf course has been open for just over a month and has been getting a lot of traffic. Already had our first tournament.
This course is an HB Clark Signature Course It is rough cut through a cedar/oak woods. Challenging course with technical shots required. Good mix of left/right fairways. Bring your hiking shoes because there is a lot of rocky terrain with steep hills. Most fairways are covered with wood chips.
Nice concrete tee pads, Discatcher baskets, good signage.
Practice hole at the start of the course is located right next to the playground. Three ball fields, batting cage, concession stand, walking track are all current features of the park (Wayne Hansard Park). A brand new million dollar soccer complex is currently under construction.
There have been a few aces recorded on the first hole and the unofficial course record is currently 8 under par.
