Dates Wi. courses are open & closed - 2005/04/19 22:00I've become very frustrated lately with wanting to play disc golf and finding out that all the Madison courses are still closed for the season and won't open until May 1st. I've gone to Beaver Dam & Baraboo to play. But, let's face it gas isn't cheap these days! On Monday I decided to take the drive to Sussex with the expectation to play their course. Well, almost an hour and a half later I come upon a sign that says the disc golf course is closed until May 1st. I wish I had known that ahead of time! I wanted so much to take the covers off the baskets and play anyway. Now, I had a long drive back home without even getting the chance to complain about my game. If anyone is reading this who has the ability to find a way to list the Wi. Disc golf courses on a web site, I highly suggest that it's in the best interest of the disc golf public to also list the dates that each course is open and closed for the purpose of playing disc golf. I will never again attempt to play at a new course in Wi. until May 1st.

Re:Dates Wi. courses are open & closed - 2005/04/19 22:51I hear you Debbie, I was hoping to play Sussex tomorrow after a conference and found out last week it was closed. I just posted a similar request on the PDGA site about open courses in southern WI. I play Baraboo nearly daily so I was hoping for something new.
Check out the pdga thread, I posted it in the Great Lakes Board, Hopefully someone will respond.
