Re:Coldest day you've ever played disc golf on - 2005/02/20 16:06I feel like a wuss for saying this but it was 38 and it started sleet on us half way through Porter in Carrolton, TX. Obviously we finished the round with a little help from the beer we had consumed B4 starting the round. Fun was had by all.

The worst thing you can do for your game is move up too quickly. I can't compete with guys like Schweiger and Olinger. They shoot at least a 7 down every week at Telulah. Do you know Olinger shot a 16 under (38) at Telulah from the back tees! Hell, he shot a 41 in leagues last year. For christ sake, my best there is a 7 under (47).
When I can become a consistant putter and throw over 400' consistantly and accurately, then I will think about pro. I am not in their league YET.

Joe's been playing with those pros Sunday mornings at O'Hauser. He said that the only differnce between them and us is they putt like a son of a bitch. So some advice to you is to putt putt putt putt putt. You should join them Sunday mornings, If you play with people better than you, you will get better yourself. see ya craig

You make a good point on how important putting is. I still miss ones inside 20' occaisionally. If I could just eliminate missing the short ones, I'd be set. From 25-35', I'm money.

I have been beating joe about 2 out of 3 times that we play. But thats at Kaukauna short pads and I think i have a better short game than him. If we play ohauser he ussually beats me. I have also seen Scott Voss out playing sometimes i'm sure he'll be ready for leagues. Joe and I have been playing almost every day since last fall and we've been putting a lot in our greenhouse where theres tons of room. Say we are putting an order together from Innova if you need any plastics let me know. Heres my e-mail address plantguys2@aol.com. We've been selling discs on ebay all winter.
