To answer your questions about turning Pro. Anybody can sign up as Pro/Open with the PDGA and yes it costs more,
but until you actually win some cash in a PDGA sanctioned tournament it's not official. You can even renew as an AM if you've never cashed playing Pro. So,
it's up to you, but it sounds like to me, you shouldn't be
signing up for PRO quite yet
