Re:Rhyno vs "The rest" - 2006/11/16 09:05
Hole # 6 at Grand Woods is my problem hole. It's a decently short hole, way to short for me to use a driver on it. So I opt for a midrange ( 174g DX Roc, or a 175g ESP Buzzz) most of the time, however I recently started throwing a putter on it. My problem is I cant seem to turn the Rhyno enough to have it land dry. I don't know if you are familiar with this hole so bear with me if you are.
Hole #6 is aprox a 200-220ft hole, about 110-125 ft off the tee pad it makes a slow left turn. On the left side, and behind the basket is water, and every so often along the shore is a bush or small group of trees. The right side is thick brush and trees. There is a path aprox 10-15ft wide, leading from the path to the pin.
I have tried many times to fire it up the path, and 90% of the time I don't make it. Which leaves going out over the water with one of two shots: A anhyzer out over the water, or a sidearm out over the water. The sidearm worked ok until I started developing more power, and now I find myself over-powering that particular hole. So it's left me with the anhyzer, I need a putter or a mid-range that will grab the anhyzer and hold onto it, without stalling to early and falling back to the left.
