That's great! I've tried to get my wife to play more often with me, but she is too competitive. I've been playing for several years now and she has a hard time letting go and having fun instead of trying to compete. Someday, maybe.
Then you should be thinking about getting yourself some discs. The beginning discs I mentioned would be good for you, but you should try and find them in lighter weights. 150 gram plastic is much easier to learn with.
Just remember to play to your own par. It's you against the course, with your husband. Not you against your husband at the course *grin*.
If he has been playing a bit then he would probably be more interested in some of the newer, more advanced discs. The Aviar putter is still the putter of choice for many pros, but he should learn to throw a Roc (from Innova) or a Buzz (from discraft) for a midrange and a TeeBird (from Innova) or Crush (from Discraft) for a driver. These are longer more stable discs.
