Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/19 00:29I love these kinds of posts, I think its important because different people playing different types of courses will have distinctly different discs.
Here in Australia, we have a few wide open long courses and with the occasional bout of extreme weather its important to have lots of long distance discs that will hold up in wind.
2x Discwings 2x Champion Vikings Champion monster champion sidemwinder champion beast pro line firebird (FL) z wildcat z talon (150 class)
midranges include 1 beat up roc 1 kc pro roc 1 beat up stingray (for rolling)
putters 1 jk pro aviar 1 soft rhyno

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/19 05:06which of those drivers are your fav headwind driver? Ive been testing around a while, and would like to hear some other opinions... Right now ive decided whats best for me is the champ firebird for the worst headwinds, pro firebird for regular headwinds, and have been trying the flick (150 class) and it holds its line amazingly well for a 150 class, not quite comparable to the champ firebird at 174, but a flick in higher weight is under consideration

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/19 06:35Honestly, I think the Monster is by far my most overstable driver. I had a flick, and I just thought it was way too overstable for my taste (at 175), it was a really good sidearm disc though.
but most of the time I like throwing the wildcat and the firebird.

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/23 09:26I only keep four discs in my bag right now and it is working out. For a driver I primarily use a champion Valkyrie. I used to use my champion eagle which is still in my bag and makes a great hyzer disc. Now I use the Valkyrie cause it goes a little right which is perfect cause if I underthrow it it will pretty much go straight or fade left slightly. The most versatile disc I have is my buzz. I found this disc when it was relatively brand new and have loved it ever since. It is a midrange disc and it flies straighter than any disc i have thrown. For a putter I use a Steady Ed Gummputt Eraser. This disc has an incredible ability to stop when it hits any part of the basket but it has been pissing me off. My course gets waaay dusty and the dust maked the thing slick like it has been powdered. With dry hands it makes for a wobbly ass joke of a putt that falls short or hits tthe lip of the basket. I am currently trying to decide what to switch to.

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/23 16:33y not just lick your thumb for grip or even carry a water bottle to splash you hand, i would do just about anything to keep my favorite putter flying the way i like.

Re:What discs do u have in your bag? - 2005/08/23 16:34heres a question for you guys like me who carry many discs, what would you carry if you could only carry 3 (your most versitle, dependable discs) preferably one for drives, midrange and putts... Ill start it off...
id say pro firebird z buzzz 175 avair
why.... the pro firebird (which is hard to say because i use the starfire more often, but it isnt as versitle) is a good driver, although it has a bit of fade its predictable and i can throw it almost as far (about 20' difference from 400-420) as my starfire yet it can also handle the wind, which the starfire cannot
the buzzz sure it has fade but has a range and accuracy thats hard to compete with especially in the premium plastics
and the avair most versitle putter, and perfetly straight drives up to 200' (can reach 250 accurately on a hyzer line)
alright those are my choices what would you do?
